Blythe Danner is lovely in this Indie film about an old woman facing the last chapters of her life. She mets two men who quickly become important To her, including a young man (Martin Starr). Their relationship is touching and one that is seldom seen on the screen. The other man (Sam Elliot) becomes a love interest. Unfortunately her women friends, played by Rhea Perlman, Mayr Kay Place and June Squibb) are not real people but “old ladies.” A tired scene of old women getting high on marijuana is derivative and reprehensible. Otherwise the film is thoughtful.
